The powerful principles of Diversity and Inclusion help Volkswagen Group of America create an environment where each person feels respected and appreciated.  This enables us to develop a workplace where employees can realize their full potential and individually and collectively do our best work. In doing so, Volkswagen Group of America can better achieve its full potential too, because Diversity and Inclusion promotes superior business performance and a competitive advantage.

We are committed to our diversity and inclusion journey, and annually assess our efforts toward increasing the representation of diverse stakeholders among our customer, dealers, suppliers and employees. Executive leaders in our organization participate annually in a Diversity Strategy workshop to help shape our diversity initiative.

Currently, we are working toward ensuring that our Diversity Vision is realized across the company.  Toward that end, we have strong, employee- led Diversity Councils in operation throughout our U.S. locations, who are advocates for inclusion and ambassadors in their communities.   Our Corporate Diversity Council comprised of a cross-section of employees representing all levels and functions across the organization oversee our corporate diversity efforts.

Our Purchasing and Dealer Networking teams have efforts underway that allow us to fully integrate minority and women owned business and dealers into our dealer and supplier networks.

Through our Diversity Outreach initiative we continuously look for opportunities to partner with community and diversity based organizations like The National Urban League, Out and Equal, NAMAD and the NMSDC, who share our passion in making a difference through inclusion.

Fostering a culture of Inclusion supports our corporate vision of creating a culture workplace or environment of achievement, excitement, trust and teamwork. It also makes Volkswagen Group of America a great place to work.
